The past three projects of Yanai’s practice. All since the pandemic begun in March 2020 and the f irst lockdown. The delays, rescheduling, and uncer tainty unleashed new directions and for the first time in Yanai’s oeuvre; portraits.
A new sense of urgency for what art and painting are for and can do we’re found after the first paralysis that we all faced together.
In that sense, an online viewing room with Galerie Praz-Delavallade, a show in Beverly Hills at Kantor Gallery, and a show in Düsseldorf at Galerie Conrads became one body of work.
The book includes a text by Lisa Vignoli and introduction text by Guy Yanai.
